Hi,
Are you in the same local network?
And you have to start player with Administrator privileges in case to enable API.
Please read this article https://multiroomaudioplayer.com/en/2019/01/how-to-control-multi-room-audio-player-remotely-via-web-browser-ver-2-0/
Amazing App when it works. I am on the same network on PC and APP, Run as Admin and tried various ports, (after default stopped working).
Everything worked for months then one day stopped. Checked windows updates, firewall settings, and even bought a new router. Amazing software but after 6 months seems to be inconsistent 🙁
Oh, strange. Can you connect to the REST API with a browser locally? Or from other PC? I’ll try to help you.
SCRATCH THAT!! After months of trying I had to turn off antivirus on the server! Please delete/disregard my last comment 🙂
Good news! 🙂 What antivirus do you use?
It’s windows defender. Maybe a recent update? I have to disable the public network firewall as well. Then I can port to the server.
I’m pretty sure it was a Windows update. And I suggest you do not disable the firewall, better create a new firewall rule and enable one port only.
