What happens after my 1 year of updates?

Your license works forever. The updates & support renewal is optional — $79/year for Business, $49/year for Personal. Skip it and keep using the version you have.

What is the difference between Business and Business Yearly?

Nothing in the software — Business Yearly unlocks exactly the same features, including unlimited zones, ASIO and Dante. The difference is commercial: Business is $399 once and yours forever, while Business Yearly is $149 a year and stops when you stop paying. Pick the yearly plan for a lower up-front cost or a fixed-term project; pick perpetual if you expect to run it for more than about three years.

What happens after the 30-day trial?

The trial is full-featured for 30 days, then it stops. Buy Personal or Business to keep playing — a perpetual license that never expires.

Can I use a Personal license at work?

No. With a Personal license you can use the program for non-commercial purposes in a non-business environment — that is, you only intend to use it at home for private use. To use the program in a business, academic, or government environment, you should purchase a Business license.

What does Personal not include?

Three features are Business-only: cloud text-to-speech (Azure Speech and ElevenLabs voices), streaming zones (broadcasting a zone over Icecast or Shoutcast), and device loopback capture (recording a sound card’s output). Personal also carries two limits rather than exclusions: 8 audio zones and 2 AirPlay inputs at a time. Everything else is there — ASIO and Dante output, per-zone EQ and compressor, the scheduler, built-in text-to-speech voices, per-application capture, and AI control. The comparison table above lists it all.

How does AirPlay work in MZAP?

MZAP acts as an AirPlay receiver: your iPhone, iPad or Mac sees it as an AirPlay destination, and whatever you play there becomes a source you can route into any zone. It does not send audio out to AirPlay speakers or a HomePod — the audio flows into MZAP, not out of it. Business and Business Yearly accept as many simultaneous AirPlay inputs as your PC can handle; Personal accepts two at a time.

Can one PC really drive a whole hotel?

Yes. Zones are limited only by your PC’s performance and available output channels — multiple sound cards, or ASIO/Dante interfaces with up to 64 channels on Business. There is no fixed zone cap in the software.

Do I still need a music licensing (PRO) subscription?

MZAP is playback software; public-performance music rights are separate and depend on your country and music source. Royalty-free and subscription business-music catalogs work fine as sources.

How is this different from Soundtrack or Mood?

They rent you music plus a player per zone, monthly. MZAP is your own unlimited-zone player with a one-time license — you choose the music source.
